| Cambrian Park residents celebrate library opening |
Local patrons swarm the new building

It took less than two years to build a new library in Cambrian, and while it seemed to take decades to library patrons, they all felt the wait was worth it when the doors finally opened on Nov. 18.
A huge crowd of nearly 1,000 people streamed back through the parking lot before the opening-day ceremonies. They waited, most patiently as the Ida Price Middle School choir sang. D9 Stars shine brightly at council meeting
Councilmember Judy Chirco recognized four individuals at the Nov. 21 City Council meeting to receive the District 9 Stars Award. The four recipients are Carlo Pedron who was represented by Hank Lapachet and the San Jose Elks Highway Cleanup Crew; Breenu Sra, advocate and volunteer for special needs youth; and Vickie Johnson and Farnizaz Tavakoli, organizers and fund-raisers for the first annual Celebrate Cambrian Festival and Fun
