City builds community infrastructure
As August begins, San Jose is abuzz with city construction projects. Several new projects are planned for the Cambrian area over the coming months, including street resurfacing, senior center improvements, and the opening of a new library.
On June 24th, the City Council approved construction contracts to resurface major streets throughout the city, including two in the Cambrian area. Meridian Avenue from Curtner to Blossom Hill will see a brand new coat of asphalt, as will Leigh Avenue from Curtner to Dry Creek, and from Wyrick to Camden.

Willow Glen women walk 40 miles in San Francisco Raising money for
breast cancer

A team of 11 women - less one of the original 12 who had to drop out due to a twisted ankle - took the challenge to do the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer beginning July 12 and walk 40 miles around San Francisco.
