Community, developer, city work together for park
End result makes all happy

It took six years and a lot of meetings, but finally the residents at the near junction of Russo and Lansing in District 9 can be happy because they have a park.
Six years ago, neighbors heard plans that a developer wanted to build a 240-unit apartment complex at the end of Russo Drive. But that wasn’t all, they planned to curve Russo into Lansing creating a through street to

Mayors serve as Meals on Wheels volunteers
Call attention to risks of malnutrition among seniors and the homebound

Twelve mayors of cities in Santa Clara County delivered hot meals to stay-at-home seniors on March 21 to call attention to the risks of malnutrition among older adults.
Each visited the homes of Meals On Wheels clients, a program operated by The Health Trust that annually delivers more than 97,000 meals to frail elderly, disabled and other vulnerable adults in the county.
