A day of fun in the sun

Celebrate Cambrian shifts into high gear

May 19 was a big day for residents of Cambrian Park with new works of art and music and all kinds of activities at the Camden Community Center. Growing significantly from last year, more than 1,100 people attended the day, which featured tours of the community center along with tours of the art work, donated by the Camden [High School] Alumni Foundation and developed into works of art by the San Jose State University’s Art Department. Additionally, there was an art show for young students with contestants taking home ribbons and prizes. There were also games, a jump house and slide, music, square dancing and city departments there to help out with questions from the residents. City Council-member Judy Chirco spent most of the day there touring the art work from her alma mater and enjoying the people and fun!
