Armed Robbery
Home Depot, 1855 Hillsdale
A white male (20s, dark hair, muscular, wearing a dark blue shirt and blue jeans) attempted to shoplift a paint sprayer from the Home Depot. When security stopped him, he resisted arrest and brandished a knife. He fled eastbound on Hillsdale in a red sedan. He is unknown and outstanding.

Armed Robbery
1405 Branham Lane, Arco Gas Station
Two suspects entered the Arco Gas Station. One had a handgun. They demanded cash from the victim. The suspects took cash and fled on foot northbound on Jarvis. The suspects were both black males, 16-18 years old. Suspect #1 was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and is 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-10 inches tall. Suspect #2 was wearing a tan fleece jacket, black watch cap, blue jeans and is 5-feet-6-inches and a medium build. Both suspects are outstanding.

Stolen Vehicle, Pursuit, Canine Search
Palm/Edwards
Officers observed an occupied stolen vehicle in the area of Palm/Edwards. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled. A short pursuit ensued, which was terminated. Later, officers located the vehicle, which had been involved in an accident with a parked car at Humboldt /Plum. Officers observed the driver fleeing the accident on foot and chased the suspect. A perimeter was set and the suspect was located. The suspect was taken to the hospital for dog bite injuries. The suspect was booked for 10851, 20002 and 2800 CVC as well as 148 PC and probation violation.

DUI/ Vehicle Accident Property Damage
Camden/Bascom Avenue
During a routine traffic stop, officers were standing out of their vehicles talking with the driver of the vehicle they had stopped. A drunk driver drove directly into the rear of one of the patrol vehicles, forcing it forward into the second police vehicle. The officers and the motorist on the sidewalk jumped out of the way into some shrubs. One officer was transported to Kaiser Santa Teresa for examination of back pain and was released. No one else was injured and the drunk driver was arrested.

Pedestrian Contact
Camden/Donna Lane
SJPD officer contacted a male who was loitering to the rear of the Big Lots store. The officer immediately observed behavior that is associated with narcotics influence. The 39-year old Hispanic male suspect fled as the officer was detaining him. The suspect was Tased during the foot pursuit, but it was ineffective. The suspect was found hiding in the bed of a pickup truck. Both the officer and the suspect suffered minor injuries. The suspect was booked for parole violations, resisting arrest and drug influence.

Theft of a Fire Arm
2900 Block of Almaden Expressway
District Tom units responded to a report of a suspect who picked up a pistol from the counter of the Gun Exchange and ran out the door. Employees and a customer were chasing the suspect on foot. Officers located the customer who had detained the suspect in the area of Hillsdale and Newberry. The suspect had concealed the stolen gun somewhere on the grounds of the Calvary Church. The church school was on Christmas break but the daycare center was open with children playing. The gun was located and booked as evidence. Based on the investigation, the suspect was arrested for robbery, burglary, theft of a firearm, and possession of a stolen firearm. The suspect was booked into County Jail.

2591 S Bascom-Pizza Hut
Two black male adults wearing dark clothing pointed a weapon at the clerk. The take was cash. They fled on foot. Both suspects are still outstanding.
